Supporting Intercultural Dialogue at the Anna Lindh Foundation Mediterranean Forum 2016

On the 24th and 25th October the city of Valletta, Malta will host the triennial Anna Lindh Foundation Mediterranean Forum 2016, the largest gathering for intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The forum connects a unique regional network of practitioners, policy-makers, media and international donors, to create real and lasting change in the face of the region’s most pressing problems, from the impact of a refugee crisis and climate change to youth unemployment and radicalisation. This year’s forum aims to accelerate and scale-up the impact and reach of intercultural action to counter forces fuelling polarisation and extremism in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

With several years of experience working with the European Institutions, Governmental bodies, Associations and other institutional stakeholders, the MCI consortium comprising the MCI Benelux office and our Ovation DMC Partner in Malta, has been selected as the official PCO for the event.

Leveraging our global and local expertise, MCI and partners will provide full event management services, from multimedia coverage and video-making to the finest logistical details. Additionally, the team will assist with setting the agenda, providing guidance on the meeting topics and political relevance and timeliness.

The forum’s 6th edition will act as an anchor within a wider dialogue campaign to be run during 2016 with the 4500+ member associations and strategic partners of the Anna Lindh Foundation, and in preparation of the first Maltese EU Presidency.

The Mediterranean Forum 2016 will address 10 strategic priorities:

  1. Reaffirming the Anna Lindh Foundation
  2. Moving beyond the extremist narrative
  3. Shifting focus to intercultural cities
  4. Rethinking learning
  5. Towards exchange
  6. Unlocking creative enterprise
  7. A new partnership with media
  8. Translation and arts matter
  9. Women as central agents of dialogue
  10. Making collaborations work
