Looking at last year’s French National Rugby League (also known as LNR), MCI Spain stood behind the official programme for 2016 TOP 14 Final, in the mythical stadium of Camp Nou in Barcelona.
This year, MCI is again involved in this unique sporting event with MCI France designing and producing an exclusive offline and online experiential programme for the 2017 TOP 14 Semi-Finals in Marseille, taking place at the avant-garde and fully connected Orange Vélodrome Stadium.
MCI developed a single offline hospitality programme that was formatted to encourage all LNR guests to network with their peers, broker new partnerships and socialise with top athletes during social events highlighting the unique experiences offered by the host city. The impact of this face-to-face hospitality contributed to the creation and further strengthening of relationships between the LNR and its various key stakeholders, such as rugby clubs, sponsors, media, etc.
From an ‘online perspective’ and with the support of its Digital Business Unit in Lyon, MCI was also responsible for designing and launching the “event app”; a tool used primarily for guiding guests around the event, picking their agendas and informing them about important updates coming from LNR.
Moreover, the app facilitated the networking sessions between attendees and also helped them to book their preferred car easily and safely; an extra feature offered through the partnership with Land Rover. To top it all up, a real-time and collaborative track list was created for inviting guests to choose their favourite songs performed live on stage, enhancing interactivity even more.
Overall, this digital experience within the tailor-made hospitality programme has further strengthened LNR’s positioning in embracing new technologies that promote innovation and on-the-ground engagement.
LNR was guaranteed the flawless execution of a specially designed offline & online hospitality programme via its partnership with MCI, an experienced sport event hospitality company. With this in mind, the LNR officials were able to focus their attention on other key issues : organising, managing and regulating the TOP 14 Championship as well as promoting networking among its main stakeholders.
