MWC - ICT

This year has marked a great start for MCI and our exciting ICT projects as we were actively involved in bringing tech experts together under pioneering and thought-provoking platforms around the world.

In early February, MCI Brazil successfully organised ‘The Big Hackathon’ at Campus Party in São Paulo — an 8,000-attendee technology festival designed to drive innovation in user experience and inspire young entrepreneurs. During “The Big Hackathon,” 1,300 registrants applied for 300 slots in order to test their coding skills for finding tech solutions to bolster the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. On the other side of the Atlantic, the Mobile World Congress 2017  held in Barcelona has been another unique opportunity to promote our strong ICT profile. As a strategic partner to some of the major industry players, the MCI team was truly immersed in the event helping them create memorable experiences. Our strategic event consultancy coupled with our 24/7 active presence on the floor assured another flawless event delivery!

With around 108,000 professionals from 208 countries, this year’s MWC managed to get significant media coverage, as it was visited by over 3,500 members of the international press. Moreover, more than 2,300 companies participated in the exhibition, showcasing the latest technological advancements in various industry areas. Everything from connected cars, VR and ingenious mobile app ideas, to 3D printing and privacy protection were on display, sparking interest as well as lively conversations among all attendees.

For us at MCI, the MWC offers a great opportunity to stay ahead of our customers’ needs, challenges, visions and goals first hand. Back from MWC, our team is fueled by the passion of bringing the communities back together to create market opportunities and help them accelerate the evolution of tomorrow’s society.
